About

The Bayard Box started as an abandoned newspaper vending machine. This box was originally manufactured in the late 1990s, but the TK-80 Sho-Rack by Kaspar wireworks was a highly popular model that saw service throughout the heyday of newspaper vending (1970s-2010s).In 2022, it was reclaimed and reinvented as a community art project with rotating editions.

We are currently keeping the exact address off the internet. But it's in North Portland, just east of Trenton Park in the Kenton neighborhood. Spend some time walking around and perhaps you'll stumble across it!

Is there an issue with the box? Feel free to pop up to the front door and give a knock. Leave a note with contact info if we're not available. This old machine can get flustered easily.
